Abstract: birth. No meconium was found in the airways. A chest x ray picture at 40 minutes showed an infiltrate in the right lower lobe. After extubation her condition remained stable, and she was followed in the neonatal unit for four days. On discharge at 5 days of age the girl was healthy and the chest x ray picture was normal.The bronchial aspirate was analysed by thin layer chromatography, which showed an unidentified substance that was also present in the vaginal tablet.
