Treatment and management of patients with schizophrenia

Abstract: In schizophrenia, the years before psychosis are morbid, not premorbid. Widespread, low-grade corruption of circuitry (brain damage) occurs, resulting in enduring deficits in cognitive, social, and motor functioning and motivation.
