Abstract: Transient EPR spectra of the excited triplet states in polyadducts of C60 with bis(ethoxycarbonyl)methylene were measured. The equatorial−equatorial−equatorial (eee) and trans-3, trans-3, trans-3 (t3t3t3) trisadducts together with tetrakis-, pentakis-, and hexakisadduct obtained by equatorial successive addition were examined. zfs parameters D and E and spin polarization carried by the triplet species were determined by spectrum simulation. D, E values for tetrakis-, pentakis-, and hexakisadducts are very well… Show more

“…Recently, a series of polyadducts of C 60 in isotropic solvents have been examined by TREPR spectroscopy. The zero field splitting (zfs) parameters D and E of excited triplet states were measured, and they proved to be a useful tool to investigate changes produced in the triplet wave function by stereospecific addition of substituents.…”

“…Due to the rigid nature of the SubPc core and the restricted flexibility of the spacers, the number of possible tris‐addition patterns is quite limited. So, among the four possible C 3 ‐symmetric tris‐addition patterns to C 60 ( c 1, c 1, c 1, e , e , e , t 3, t 3, t 3, and t 4, t 4, t 4),14, 19 only the t 3, t 3, t 3 isomer can be expected for compounds 1 Cα and 1 O , while the other three isomers have rather strained structures (quite obvious for the c 1, c 1, c 1 and e , e , e patterns) due to the smaller spacing between the cyclopropane rings 20. This assignment was further supported by some of the features found in the NMR spectra.…”

“…Fullerene C61A and porphyrin ZnPA molecules were synthesized according to a previously reported method [46][47][48]. (5-(4-Carboxyphenyl)-10,15,20-tri(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)porphyrinatozinc(II) (ZnPA) was synthesized according to the following procedure.…”
