TRANSFER IONIZATION IN COLLISIONS OF PARTIALLY STRIPPED Fq+ WITH HELIUM ATOMS

Abstract: The cross-section ratios R of transfer ionization to single electron capture of Helium atom induced by fluorine ions in the strong-interaction region were measured by means of the position-sensitive-detection and the time-of-flight (TOF) technologies. The velocity and charge state dependence of R were studied. It is found that the R decreases when the 2q/v increases, where q and v are the charge state and velocity of projectile respectively. In this energy region the transfer ionization can be look as Two-Step… Show more

“…However, BiVO 4 suffers from surface recombination, a high onset potential and poor water oxidation kinetics. 12 These hurdles signicantly reduce the current density of BiVO 4 compared to the theoretical current density of 7.5 mA cm −2 . 13 Approaches, such as the addition of dopants, heterojunction formation, incorporating an interlayer 14 and increasing the surface area by morphology control, can improve its PEC properties.…”

“…Among all selected candidates, BiVO 4 exhibits obvious advantages for PEC water splitting owing to its earth abundance, small bandgap (2.4-2.5 eV) and suitable band edge. [30][31][32][33][34] Nevertheless, the PEC performance of the BiVO 4 photoanode is limited by severe charge recombination and the sluggish surface oxygen evolution reaction (OER), 35 resulting in unexpected photocurrent density in water splitting. [36][37][38] Recently, various approaches have been devised to enhance the PEC performance of SC photoanodes.…”
