Transcatheter implantation of balloon expandable bioprosthesis for large bicuspid aortic valve:case report

Abstract: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation is one of the main treatment strategies for severe symptomatic aortic valve stenosis. The expansion of indications for low surgical risk patients has been based on recent studies. In this scenario, a younger population with bicuspid aortic valves is expected to be more frequently submitted to transcatheter valve replacement, given this anatomic profile is generally associated with larger aortic rings.
