Abstract: Empirically, sea cucumber as a food ingredient that is believed to have efficacy as medicine (nutraceutical) because it contains bioactive compounds like terpenoid, saponin, essential amino acids, glycosaminglycan, chondroitin sulfate, sulfate polysaccharides, lectins, phenol and peptides.
