The similar glaciation style to the Queer Shan also exists in many regions in the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau such as Lahul Himalaya in India (Owen et al , 1997), Chitral in the eastern Hindu Kush (Owen et al , 2002b), Swat Himalaya in Pakistan (Richards et al , 2000a), Nanga Parbat in northern Pakistan (Phillips et al , 2000), Macha Khola in Nepal (Zech et al , 2003) and the Anyemaqen and Nianbaoyeze Mountains of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau (Owen et al , 2003).
