Ticks (Acari: Ixodoidea) of the Yemen Arab Republic. I. Species infesting livestock

Abstract: Data from surveys in 1951, 1972, 1973 and 1978–79 showed that tick numbers are generally low on the miniature breed of cattle in the Yemen Arab Republic and tick-borne diseases have not been recognised as a serious problem. This breed should be investigated for properties of resistance to tick bite.
