“…The results presented by Ağlarci et al (2015) [ 14 ], regarding the distances between the MF and the margins of the mandibular ramus were: 15.29±2.60 mm for MF–AM distance, 11.13±2.44 mm for MF–PM distance, 16.70±3.75 mm for MF–SM distance, 24.75±4.62 mm for MF–IM distance, the results matching those in our study.…”

“…This was measured with a mean horizontal diameter (D2) of 3.5 mm (Table 2). This value was lower than those reported by other studies, 7.02 mm by Aglarci, Gungor et al, 22 in Turkey and 5.8 mm by Rezaei et al, 23 in Iran. The MnF horizontal diameter of the right side and the left side of the mandible were measured and the results of the statistical test showed that no significant difference was found between the two sides at (p=0.957) (Table 4) indicating symmetry of both sides.…”

“…In 2018, a study evaluated CBCT images to determine the position of MF relative to the anterior and posterior borders of ramus, inferior border of the mandible and mandibular notch. Another studies conducted in2015 and 2014 evaluated the position of mandibular foramen relative to these four references using reconstructed panorama based on CBCT images (16)(17)(18) .…”
