“…The premise of this study, that a child's problems with language processing and usage may be related to parental CD, is closely related to a similar premise in the studies of parental CD and schizophrenia in the child. The findings of this study are in line with the research on parental communication deviance done with schizophrenics (3, 13, 23, 29, 37, 38, 43, 46, 47). These studies consistently found that a high frequency of parental CD was significantly associated with the diagnosis of schizophrenia in the offspring.…”
