Abstract: Abstract This paper deals with a new approach to nonlinear and nonequilibrium thermodynamics. The new concept, developed by P. H. Lindenmeyer, states that in a heat‐setting process, with the same average processing temperature, the addition of a sinusoidal fluctuation (approximately) can produce two opposite changes depending upon the frequency and amplitude of the temperature fluctuation.
