Abstract:In this study, several heat transfer fluids consisting of Poly-Alpha-Olefin (PAO) as base fluid and non-spherical alumina (Al2O3) nanoparticles such as nanorods and nanoplatelets have been used to formulate thermally enhanced nanofluids. Thermal properties such as thermal conductivity and viscosity have been measured, and the corresponding thermal conductivity enhancement has been calculated. The heat transfer coefficient under laminar flow under constant heat flux conditions has been measured experimentally. … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
