Trapping of atomic hydrogens in cage-shaped silsesquioxanes by electric discharge

“…They are slightly greater than 116.9 kJ mol À1 and 0.20 Â 10 14 s À1 measured in this study with the MeT 8 particles irradiated by the 60 Co g-ray. On the other hand, the E a value of 123.8 kJ mol À1 for discharged MeSiT 8 particles was also greater than the ones reported earlier 6 and measured here for the g-ray irradiated MeSiT 8 . The slightly different decay kinetics between the discharged and g-ray irradiated MeT 8 may provide further confirmation of the difference in locations of hydrogen-trapped molecules in the MeT 8 particles: molecules near surfaces in the discharge experiments in contrast to surface/bulk molecules in the g-ray irradiation.…”
