“…It was also reported that the thermal conductivity for these composites relies on the relative content of the nanotubes . Mkhabela et al studied phosphorylated MWCNT (p‐MWCNT)/PVC composites and showed that there was an increase in glass transition and melting temperature for the prepared composites with respect to the PVC. No studies so far have been presented on fabrication and investigation of the PVC/SWCNT composites that were prepared by the plastisol curing method.…”

“…Reinforcing fibers, such as glass and carbon, are promising for improving the mechanical behavior of composites, but their high aspect ratios and insufficient dispersibility make it difficult to obtain a uniform mixture with the composites. Additionally, blending with fillers, such as calcium carbonate, carbon nanotubes and silicon dioxide, also improves the mechanical properties of PVC composites. However, when improving one property of the composite, they may have an adverse influence on other properties.…”

“…However, when improving one property of the composite, they may have an adverse influence on other properties. For example, adding carbon nanotubes into PVC composites increased the modulus but decreased the tensile strength . Therefore, it is important to improve the overall mechanical properties of WF/PVC composites through simple methods without impairing other properties.…”

“…A variety of fillers including silica , calcium carbonate , carbon nanotubes , whiskers , montmorillonite and graphene , have been incorporated into PVC matrix to enhance its mechanical and thermal properties, such as toughness, modulus, and heat resistance. MHSH whisker (MgSO 4 ·5Mg(OH) 2 ·3H 2 O) is a new needle‐shaped single crystal with prefect geometrical structure, large length‐to‐diameter, low density, high intensity and strength, high‐temperature resistance and non‐toxic .…”
