“…In the flumazenil group the mean arterial carbon dioxide tension on admission was 6-0 kPa and the mean arterial oxygen tension 10 tension had decreased significantly to 5 6 kPa (p<001) and oxygen tension had increased to 11 3 kPa (p<0-01). In the placebo group the blood gas tensions on admission were not significantly different from those in the flumazenil group, and they did not change after the injection of placebo.…”
