The Use of Earthworms and Household Organic Waste Composting Length of Time

Abstract: Composting with earthworms is composting process by involving earthmacroorganism. Cooperation between earthworms and microorganisms may impact on decomposition process done by the microorganisms as assisted by the existence of earthworms. Because any materials to be decomposed by microorganisms had been decomposed by earthworms earlier, microorganisms would work more effectively and quickly. This study aimed to determine effects of using earthworms toward household organic waste composting length of time by us… Show more

“…Budidaya cacing tanah memiliki potensi besar karena sangat mudah dipelajari (Hidayat, Putra, and Mulyadi 2015). Budidaya cacing tanah hanya membutuhkan tanah dan kompos, sehingga relatif mudah dilaksanakan, efisien dan murah ( (Khair et al 2015)). Anda tidak membutuhkan banyak cacing karena Anda hanya perlu waktu untuk makan dan waktu untuk memanen.…”

“…Unmanaged waste may cause environmental pollution (water, air, soil) (Alabi et al, 2019;Wahyudi, 2019) and affect human health (Irianti&Prasetyoputra, 2018). Some of the usual methods of organic waste management are to use worms, microorganism, and insect larvae (Ayilara et al, 2020;Khair et al, 2015;Sarpong et al, 2019). Bioconversion is one of the concepts of organic waste processing that is widely used today.…”
