The Use of Bottomhole Temperature Variations in Production Testings

Abstract

Temperature data recorded during production testing have been interpreted and the results found to be a useful source of information to supplement the pressure data. Increases in bottom hole temperature while flowing are explained by the Joule-Thomson inversion effect.
