Abstract. We consider a motion relative to centre of mass of a rigid body with low inertial and aerodynamic asymmetries at re-entry into the atmosphere. Numerical and mathematical simulation provide a means to study the resonance effect that results in changes of the direction of the rigid body rotation. It is shown that the realization of the effect in question is observed when selecting the initial conditions of the integration and defined values of the asymmetry parameters.Keywords: resonance effect, numerical simulation, asymmetry, rigid body, atmosphere Citation: Lyubimov V.V.
