Abstract: The receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase alpha (RPTPalpha) is a transmembrane receptor with two intracellular protein tyrosine phosphatase domains, a catalytically active membrane proximal domain (D1) and a membrane distal phosphatase domain with minimal catalytic activity (D2).
