Este estudio de revisión documental describe investigaciones recientes sobre la participación de las familias hispanas residiendo en los Estados Unidos en estrategias de apoyo a sus hijos e hijas para alcanzar habilidades de preparación para la escuela que pudieran tener un impacto en su desempeño y un impacto en la reducción de la brecha en el rendimiento académico que presentan los estudiantes hispanos en comparación con sus pares no hispanos al iniciar la escolaridad formal. Un total de 14 investigaciones dan cuenta del impacto positivo de la participación de los padres en actividades como la asistencia a programas formales de educación preescolar y visitas domiciliarias, el juego intencional y la lectura compartida como estrategias para el desarrollo de habilidades de preparación para la escuela. El análisis documental permitió identificar consideraciones relevantes como el currículo, el tipo de financiamiento y la asistencia consistente como factores relevantes en la participación en programas formales de educación preescolar.

This research paper was written against the background that the implementation of literacy activities at Payakumbuh City has not been running effectively and efficiently. Several technical and practical problems faced by school principals. The habit of reading 15 minutes at school has not been implemented well, because there is no literacy management model. For this reason, the authors have developed a creativity-based literacy management model as a solution to existing problems. This research and development design uses the Borg and Gall model which consists of ten stages which are constructed into four steps, i.e; preliminary studies, development, field testing and dissemination. The research subjects were the principal of junior high schools, Indonesian language teachers and library managers in Payakumbuh City. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and validation sheets. Quantitative data were processed using SPSS 20 and reduced qualitative data as suggested by Mattew and Huberman. The model validity obtained a mean of 4.53 with a very valid interpretation. The practicality level of the product was obtained by an average of 4.13 with 83.09%, which means that the literacy management model developed is practically used. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test reached 85.19 which means effective. Furthermore, the difference between the pre-test and post-test results obtained 32.13 points, this means that there is an increase in the principal's ability to manage management.

Indonesia is known for having low literacy skills. Students' literacy skills are low because schools do not provide enough media to help students' literacy skills, especially dictionaries. This study aims to develop a multilingual thematic illustrated dictionary to assist sixth-grade elementary school students' literacy. This has an impact on student learning outcomes are low. In developing the dictionary, this study applies the Design and Development (D&D) using four instruments to collect data: observation sheets, interview guides, questionnaires, and expert assessments. The subjects of this study were teachers and students from elementary schools in urban and rural areas in Buleleng Regency, North Bali. The results show that this dictionary is relevant to the eleven criteria of a good multilingual thematic illustrated dictionary. This dictionary is also categorized as an excellent medium of 10 themes with words and sentences in three languages and authentic pictures. Thus, multilingual thematic illustrated dictionaries are a helpful medium for students and teachers to develop literacy skills. This research implies that students in learning can use the developed dictionary.
