Boys tend to use more angry and rude way to express directly, displaying more aggressive behaviour, such as shouting, throwing things or direct physical aggression, and less consider the consequences after venting (Gago-Galvagno et al, 2022), whereas girls tend to express their anger in indirect ways and think more about the consequences of their anger, and crying is a major way for girls to express anger, so inflicting damage on others' mental health is more effective (Fang, 2010). It may also have something to do with stereotyping of boys and girls in traditional Chinese culture, which thinks that girls should have gentle, considerate and elegant qualities, whereas boys should have such traits as masculine, adventure and decisive courage.…”
