The significance of uric acid in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson disease

Abstract: Background:Parkinson disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by chronic and progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in substansia nigra pars compacta. Oxidative stress is proposed to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of PD.
