“…Dr L. Cussen (1969) reported that the ureterocele was amuscular, the ureter acquiring a muscle coat where it emerged from the bladder wall to become extramural. On measurement, the muscle cells were normal in dimensions, and there was no hyperplasia of muscle (Cussen, 1967), indicating an absence of obstruction to the ureterocele. Two other similar examples were successfully treated surgically after carefully checking that the wide orifice of the ureterocele issued on to the trigone, and after studying the radiographic appe'arance of the ureterocele and the dilated ureter.…”
