The role of the tear film in dysfunctional lens syndrome: a prospective review

Abstract: Dry eye disease comprises a spectrum of disorders that cause unstable tear film with an irregular surface. Preexisting dry eye disease poses challenges during cataract surgery in chronic inflammation since preoperative biometry measurements are highly dependent on a smooth and healthy tear film.
