“…Similar studies have shown that both SCP-VD and DCP-VD values are significantly associated with age. 24 , 25 Like Bazvand et al 26 , we observed that RPCP-VD was not affected by age or sex. In contrast to the study by Yu et al 27 , we did not detect any relationship between RPCP-VD and RNFLT.…”

“…This finding aligns with our prior studies 7 and those of others. 38,39 In our previous studies, we showed that Han Chinese may have a unique mutation spectrum, primarily with FZD4 involvement instead of LRP5. However, in the current study's series, LRP5 was identified as the causative mutation in the majority of patients.…”

“…Iafe et al [ 40 ] also reported vessel density values in 70 healthy subjects, and Garrity et al [ 41 ] reported results of repeated analyses on the same cohort of patients updating the previous results based on more sophisticated software enabling projection removal and improvement of the segmentation algorithm with isolation of the intermediate capillary plexus. Bazvand et al [ 42 ] published a normative quantitative database for the papillary and peripapillary area. Other studies provided macular vessel density values in different populations (i.e., in Asia, Middle-East), and in pediatric subjects.…”
