Abstract: The cardiovascular, respiratory, and hypokalemic effects of repeated inhalation of fenoterol, albuterol, and isoproterenol were compared in 12 subjects with stable asthma according to a double-blind, crossover design. Ipratropium bromide served as a control providing bronchodilatation without extrapulmonary effects.
