Abstract: Novel quaternary iminium compounds, namely, N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-N-benzyldodecyliminium chloride (I a ), N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-N-benzylhexadecyl iminium chloride (I b ), N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-N-benzyloctadecyliminium chloride (I c ), and N-benzylidene-N-benzyldodecyliminium chloride, were prepared.
