Abstract: The Intercooled Recuperated Gas Turbine Engine System (ICR) is being developed by the United States Navy (USN) for shipboard application as a prime mover. The major development goal of the program is reduced fuel consumption relative to the LM2500, the current fielded gas turbine prime mover.
