The Influence of the Bearing Lifetime on the Performance of Universal Gear Drives with High Gear Ratio Values

Abstract: The problem of defining the load (nominal torque on the output shaft - T2N) of universal gear drives depending on the size of the gear ratio is analysed in this paper. It is logical that the load capacity of gear drive depends on the weakest gear component. Since the gears are the most expensive components of gear unit, it tends to maximize their performance.
