Abstract: Background: Cisplatin is a widely used anticancer drug. Its use is known to induce nephrotoxicity and may be associated with disturbance of the electrolyte balance. Spironolactone, an antagonist of aldosterone, is frequently prescribed as a potassium sparing diuretic.
