Abstract: BackgroundFerroptosis is essential for tumorigenesis and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The heterogeneity of ferroptosis and its relationship with tumor microenvironment (TME) have still remain elusive.MethodsBased on 74 ferroptosis related genes (FRGs) and 3,933 HCC samples from 32 datasets, we comprehensively explored the heterogenous ferroptosis subtypes. The clinical significance, functional status, immune infiltration, immune escape mechanisms, and genomic alterations of different subtypes… Show more

“…The above showed that CELF2 expression was significantly associated with marker gene sets of T‐cell exhaustion, such as PD ‐ 1 , CTLA ‐ 4 and TIM ‐ 3 , implying that CELF2 might play crucial roles in immune tolerance and immune evasion (Table 2). We further explored the relationships between CELF2 and ICMs, including BTLA , CD274 , CD40 , CD47 , CD8A , CD8B , CTLA ‐ 4 , GZMB , TIM ‐ 3 ( HAVCR2 ), ICOS, IDO1 , IFNG , LAG3 , PDCD1 , PDCD1LG2 and TIGIT 12,35,36 . The results revealed that CELF2 expression was significantly positively correlated with the expression of these molecules in BRCA and LUSC (Figure 5A).…”

In addition, we also observed the significant correlations between CELF2 and ICM expression in urinary system tumours such as BLCA, KIRC and kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), as well as digestive system tumours such as esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) and STAD.…”
