“…Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune syndrome associated with a high chance of developing lupus nephritis (LN) . Very recently, a case‐control study investigated the associations between MDM2 T309G and insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphisms and SLE susceptibility in 200 patients with SLE and 206 healthy volunteers .…”

“…Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune syndrome associated with a high chance of developing lupus nephritis (LN) . Very recently, a case‐control study investigated the associations between MDM2 T309G and insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphisms and SLE susceptibility in 200 patients with SLE and 206 healthy volunteers . While there was no apparent association between MDM2 T309G polymorphism and SLE, the MDM2 I/D polymorphism (rs3730485) was found to be associated with a lower risk of SLE …”

“…Genomic DNA was isolated using a commercial extraction kit (DynaBio; Takapoozist, Tehran, Iran) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Genotyping for MDM2 polymorphisms was done by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or PCR‐restriction fragment length polymorphism methods as previously described (Ohmiya et al, ; Salimi, Rezaei et al, ).…”
