“…17 Both of these adverse effects were suspected in the dog described in the present report, because the serum was red, pigmenturia was detected, and the estimated platelet count decreased from 250,000 platelets/µL to 120,000 platelets/µL. In addition to thrombocytopenia, ILE overdose is associated with spontaneous coagulopathy 18 that may or may not be associated with prolonged clotting times and hypofibrinogenemia. In this dog, thromboelastography showed a low K time, α-angle, and maximum amplitude, consistent with hypofibrinogenemia and platelet dysfunction.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…In another case report, a 10‐month‐old infant developed fat overload syndrome while receiving a soybean‐based intravenous fat emulsion at a dosage of 5 g/kg/d of fat for 5 weeks. The patient exhibited symptoms such as fever, jaundice, and bruising 20 . Elevations in serum transaminases, hyperbilirubinemia, and coagulopathies were also reported.…”

“…A syndrome termed “fat overload syndrome” has been reported in cases with excessive accumulation of serum lipid 10,14,15 and is characterized with a sudden development of intolerance to the therapy, sudden elevation of serum lipid levels, fever, hepatosplenomegaly, hepatic dysfunction, coagulation problems, and end-organ failure. In particular, the coagulopathy has been the subject of several reports 10,16–18 .…”
