“…La Rosa mosqueta tiene sus orígenes en Europa del Este (Olsson y Prentice, 2001;Brasovan et al, 2011) y crece en forma natural en Polonia, Rumania, Balcanes, Hungría, Nueva Zelanda (Partridge et al, 1991;Rodica et al, 2015), en el Cáucaso, oeste de Asia y norte de África (Buzunova y Romo, 2011), entre otros países. El género Rosa fue introducida a América durante la conquista española (Galaz, 1999) y actualmente se distribuye en Chile en las ciudades de Colchagua, Valdivia, Osorno y Aysén (Cavallero y Raffaele, 2010); en Argentina (Hirsch et al, 2011;Svriz et al, 2013;Zimmermann et al, 2011;Damascos y Gallopin, 1992), en las provincias de Neuquén, Rio Negro y Chubut (Aguirre, 2009), en Perú en las regiones de Ica y Junín (Cameroni, 2013;Damascos y Gallopin, 1992); y además en los estado de Missouri, Wyoming y Nebraska en EEUU (Parejas y Horst, 1990).
