The evaluation of potential global impact of the N501Y mutation in SARS‐COV‐2 positive patients

Abstract: Rapid and reliable detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 mutations are significant to control the contagion and spread rate of the virus. We aimed to evaluate the N501Y mutation rate in randomly chosen positive patients with the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The evaluation and analysis of the data with a retrospective approach in cases with mutations, in terms of public health, will contribute to the literature on the global pandemic that affects our society. Public health authorities… Show more

“…It has become significant to prepare a plan, which includes information and practical actions, including all situations that require urgency and actions to be taken in emergencies that may occur in workplaces. 19,20 In particular, it is important to understand thought that they will perform a continuous screening. In the early stages of the infection, false-negative results are the actual problem in RT-PCR.…”

“…When looking at mitigation measures, stage and risk reduction activities are possible by applying by management and administrative services as a type of procedural risk reduction strategies to quarantine and treat cases exposed during the pandemic, improve health systems, expand hospitals, workers, antidotes (Alauddin et al, 2021). Although the pandemic is not over yet, all these risk management strategies have emerged as of March 11, 2020 and have been procedurally published by the countries' own policies (Komurcu et al, 2021). All these experiences and experiences reveal that decisions must be made in order to activate strategies effectively and mobilize resources.…”

“…However, there are big differences between traditional vaccine development and the development of these vaccines under the pressure of a pandemic. There are many parameters for vaccine production that have implications for early production and up to commercial scale before clinical proof of concept is (Komurcu et al, 2021). There are different approaches that are carried out under financial risks without knowing whether or not the chosen vaccine strategy will be safe and effective.…”

“…Moreover, the C-terminal of the S1 subunit (S1 CTD) consists of the receptor-binding domain (RBD) which takes the critical role in recognizing and binding the host receptor as shown in Figue 1. Moreover, S protein also takes an important role in recognizing host range and tissue tropism, alongside being responsible for inducing many of the host immune responses [4,5]. On the other hand, ACE2 receptor plays a crucial role in regulating oxygen/carbon dioxide transfer, commonly found within the respiratory epithelia.…”
