The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of using Insert learning media to improve reading comprehension at eleventh Grade SMAN 1 Arosbaya. The method used quantitative which was experimental research design. In this research, the researcher chose 13 students as a sample. The result of this research that there was a significant difference in students' reading achievement on recount text before and after being taught using insert learning media, was confirmed. Since the level of significance of the different achievement was not more than 0,025, the different achievement between pre-test and post-test was significant. Meanwhile, the researcher tested the hypothesis by using t-test formula in which the result is 8,06. The total of the participants or the objects of this research was 13 students. Therefore, the degree of freedom is 12 taken by formula df = N – 1. Then, the t-table is 2,18. The score of t-table is higher than the score t-table. As a result, insert learning was an effective medium to improve students reading comprehension especially in recount text because this media can make students easier in comprehending the text.

This study aims to develop comics in increasing students' reading interest for 4th grade elementary school. Interest in reading is important for students in the learning process. This research is a research and development (RD) using the Borg Gall research model. The purpose of this research is to produce appropriate and effective comic media to increase the reading interest of elementary school students. The subjects of this study were 4th grade students of G.S. elementary school. Data collection was done using observation, interviews, questionnaires and scales. The effectiveness of the media was tested with a non-equivalent control group design. The results of the study were tested for prerequisites with a normality test (0.001) and a homogeneity test in the control class (0.044), so that further different tests could be carried out. The feasibility test got d the average final result of material validation was 4.54 (very feasible) and media validation was 4.30 (very feasible). Test results paired sample t-test asymp. value. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is rejected (accepted) which means that there is a significant difference in students' reading interest before and after using augmented reality-assisted comics media. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the Mann Whitney test obtained asymp results Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.044 is smaller than the probability value of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is a significant difference in students' reading interest when using AR-assisted comics in the experimental class with students using slide presentation media in the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that product augmented reality-assisted comics are effective in increasing reading interest in 4th grade elementary school students.

Penelitian ini berisi tentang kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dalam memahami soal cerita melalui penerapan media pembelajaran komik pada siswa SD Negeri 1 Karangtawang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dalam memahami soal cerita yang menggunakan media komik dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran komik. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V berjumlah 39 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen (quasi eksperimental design) dengan nonequivalent control grup design (pretest-postets design). Kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media komik dan kelompok kontrol tidak menggunakan media komik. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes (pretest-posttest). Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa: (1) hasil (posttest) kemampuan literasi matematika yang menggunakan media komik lebih tinggi dibandingkan yang tidak menggunakan media komik, dan (2) peningkatan (gain) kemampuan literasi matematika siswa yang menggunakan media komik lebih tinggi atau lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan media komik. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil (posttest) dan perbedaan peningkatan (gain) dari kedua kelas yang diberi perlakuan berbeda. Siswa dari kelas yang menggunakan media komik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak menggunakan media komik.
