A perineal laceration is a wound of the skin and muscular area between the vaginal and anal introitus caused by a labor tear. Perineal lacerations might occur in sudden and rapid removal of the fetus' head, excessive fetus size, and the inability of the pelvic muscles and soft tissues to accommodate the fetus's birth. One of the empirical non-pharmacology approaches to this study sought to understand the effect of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis) leaf decoction on peritoneal wound healing in postpartum women. This is a quasi-experimental post-test-only control group study on 30 postpartum women treated in 15 private midwife practices in Bengkulu city from 10 November to 10 December 2022 who met the inclusion criteria. Subjects were sampled using the accidental sampling technique and were randomly divided into two groups. Wound healing was assessed using the REEDA scale, and the results were analyzed statistically using the Mann-Whitney or Wilcoxon test and the chi-square test. The study's results showed that Hb, age, and the number of children's influenced perineal wound healing. The average number of days for wound healing in the treatment group was six days. For a control group that used povidone-iodine 10% was eight days. It is concluded that there is an effect of decoction of the leaves of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis) on the healing of peritoneal wounds in postpartum women.

Introduction: Perineal rupture is a birth canal tear that often occurs in the normal delivery process and is a health problem that must be treated immediately because it can cause infection so treatment needs to be carried out. The data from the Banjarsari Health Center report in 2021 showed that there were 35 cases of perineal rupture (72,91%) from 48 postpartum mothers. The purpose of the research is to find out the effectiveness of boiled water from binahong leaves with boiled water from betel leaves for healing perineal rupture in women giving birth at the Banjarsari Health Center Lebak Regency in 2022. Methods: The research method uses quasi-experiments with a posttest-only design with non-equivalent groups. The sample of this study was a spontaneous postpartum mother who experienced a perineal rupture of 30 people with a sampling technique using simple random sampling. Instruments use questionnaires. The Bivariate analysis uses the paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: The average healing time of perineal rupture given boiled water of binahong leaves is 5,87 (5 to 6 days) while that given boiled water of betel leaves is 7,93 (7 to 9 days). The results of statistical tests show that there is the effectiveness of binahong leaf boiled water with betel leaf boiled water against healing perineal rupture in maternity mothers at the Banjarsari Health Center Lebak Regency in 2022 (p = 0,006). Discussion: Giving boiled water to binahong leaves is faster and more effective in curing perineal rupture compared to giving betel leaf boiled water. It is hoped that postpartum mothers can use non-pharmacological methods using herbal complementary therapy for the treatment of perineal rupture namely by using binahong leaf boiled water or using betel leaf boiled water.

Ruptur Perineum terjadi hampir pada semua persalinan pervaginam yang dialami oleh ibu bersalin dan akan menimbulkan rasa nyeri dan tidak nyaman, selain itu akan berpengaruh pada kondisi ibu dalam pemberian laktasi dan perawatan sehari-hari bayinya. Oleh karena itu, proses penyembuhan luka perineum yang baik dan efektif sangat penting. Salah satu herbal yang dapat digunakan dalam membantu mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka perineum adalah daun Afrika (vernoniaa amygdalina), yang mengandung zat yang dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka. Agar semakin nyata pemanfaatan daun afrika ini maka perlu pengaplikasian pada hewan kelinci bertina (oryctolagus cuniculus) sebelum diterapkan pada luka perineum ibu postpartum. Pemilihan sediaan hidrogel mampu memberikan rasa dingin dikulit sehingga menimbulkan rasa nyaman pada saat diaplikasikan pada daerah yang dituju serta sediaannya mudah mengering membentuk lapisan film yang mudah dicuci dengan air. Design yang digunakan true experiment dengan rancangan penelitian randomized post test with control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 12 ekor kelinci yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yakni kelompok (I) perawatan luka kering bersih dan kelompok (II) perawatan luka dengan hidrogel daun afrika 30% 2 kali sehari selama 7 hari. Pengukuran luka menggunakan skala skor REEDA. Perawatan dilakukan selama 7 hari dengan prevelensi penilaian skor REEDA. Uji statistik menggunakan Friedman dan mann whitney. Hasil pengujian waktu penyembuhan luka perineum pada hari ke ketiga sampai ke tujuh. Perawatan luka kering bersih lebih lama sembuh dibandingkan dengan luka yang diberi hidrogel daun afrika. Hasil analisis kedua kelompok terdapat penurunan skala REEDA yang bermakna pada hari ke 3,5 sampai ke 7, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perawatan luka perinemum pada kelinci dengan pemberian hidrogel daun afrika dapat membantu mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka perineum
