Musa I.N
et al.

Abstract: Flooding endangers lives and property, and it can lead to surface water pollution, reducing access to potable water and destroying wildlife habitats. This study investigated the effect of flood on water quality and plankton in two selected water bodies in within Minna Metropolis, Niger state, Nigeria. Water samples were collected for physicochemical parameters and plankton identification using standard methods and procedures. Samples were collected for a period of six (6) months (April to September 2021). The … Show more

“…(Adamu et al, 2021). Most of the physicochemical values recorded during this study reflect a typical tropical climate environment, as previously reported in other studies in Nigeria (Mohammed et al, 2020;Mohammed et al, 2021;Edegbene et al, 2022;Adamu et al, 2022;Maishanu et al, 2022;Ebesi et al, 2022;Adama et al, 2023). The mean air temperature ranged from 24.62±0.20°C to 25.98±0.28°C and water temperature ranged from 23.99±0.42°C to 24.90±0.50°C.…”
