Abstract: The effect of thermal deformation on the cellular structure and thermomechanical properties of chemically crosslinked PPE-3M polyethylene foam was investigated. The thermomechanical effects are discussed from the viewpoint of a model of the cellular structure and a twophase model of partially crystalline polyethylene. The dependence of these effects on the nature of the force effect and on the temperature when force is used at the stage of producing chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam was established.
