“…Additional evidence that the HEGR‐derived abundance map is inadequate in some mare regions comes from regional measurements of Mg abundances from X‐ray spectroscopy measurements, including from the Apollo X‐Ray Spectrometer experiments (AXRS) [ Adler et al ., ] and the Chandrayaan‐1 X‐ray Spectrometer (C1XS) [ Weider et al ., ].
