Ecological plasticity and stability in productivity of seven varieties of winter soft wheat were studied in 2020-2021. As a result of the study it was found that on average for 2 years the most productive varieties were Grom, Surava and Biryuza with yields of 60.5, 48.5 and 46.5 dt/ha, respectively. Moisture and protein content in all the varieties studied were within the optimum limits. The environment index showed that growing conditions were worse in 2021 (Ij = -12.8) than in 2020 (Ij = 12.9). The varieties Grom, Biryuza and Krastal were the most plastic (bi - 1.3; 1.53; 1.41, respectively). These varieties should be cultivated according to intensive technology. The yields of these varieties on improved growing conditions are high. The value of the linear regression coefficient for the variety Povolzhskaya Niva is practically zero (bi = 0.01). This variety does not respond to changes in growing conditions. In varieties Skipetr, Doneko and Surava the linear regression coefficient approached 1. These varieties respond to improved growing conditions. The calculation of the ecological plasticity index showed that the varieties Grom, Surava and Biryuza are also ecologically plastic. The Povolzhskaya Niva and Doneco varieties were found to be the most stable. Their standard deviation (σd2) was 0.004. In the other varieties it was between 0.01 and 0.8. The most unstable variety was Krastal. The standard deviation (σd2) was 1.1.

Aim. To use the advantages of crop rotation, its types and its impact on the dynamics of the number and harmfulness of dominant pests on various crops, the conservation of biodiversity and the stabilisation of agroecosystems. In this paper, one of the most important problems of modern agriculture is considered – the reduction of chemical treatments without loss of quality and yield of the products obtained due to one of the most important methods of crop rotation and certain agrotechnical methods, such as the joint sowing of different varieties or crops, making shelters, etc.Discussion. Crop rotation, its types and influence on the dynamics of the number and harmfulness of the dominant pests of various crops, biodiversity conservation and stabilisation of agroecosystems, especially important for organic farming, are analyzed. Evidence‐based habitat management practices can greatly improve pest management. The influence of crop rotation on the degree of pest infestation of cultivated crops has been confirmed and a number of little‐studied issues have been identified. This article may be of the greatest interest to owners of farms, as well as large commodity producers.Conclusion. An analysis of the literature data showed that a scientifically based crop rotation with the inclusion of crops of a variety of mixtures. regional trapping or honey crops, taking into account common pests for alternating predecessors and main crops, and aimed at improving the soil and plants, stabilises the ecological state of agroecosystems and improves the safety of the natural environment and the level of profitability of agricultural production. The study of the influence of various methods on increasing biodiversity in agrocenoses has great potential and prospects for further study.

One of the main ways to obtain consistently high yields in Siberian conditions is the use of adaptive varieties. Selection plays a key role in solving this problem. Success in breeding for resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses depends on the correct choice of initial parental forms for crossing. The purpose of the study is to evaluate varieties and promising breeding lines of soft winter wheat of various ecological and geographical origin in terms of productivity and adaptive potential. The results of the study of 68 varieties and breeding lines of winter soft wheat are presented. The studies were carried out on the experimental field of the Siberian Research Institute of Plant Growing and Breeding, a branch of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The most favorable conditions for the formation of the winter wheat crop were formed in 2021 (Ij=125.1). The least favorable conditions developed in 2020 (Ij= -171.2). The most winter-hardy varieties were Scepter, Novosibirskaya 32, Pamyati Chekurova, Omskaya 6. The Volzhskaya variety showed high plasticity (bi=1.49), but was not stable over the years. The most stable varieties among highly productive samples were Novosibirskaya 32 (δd² = 13.75), Lutescens 261-3 (δd² = 16.86), Pamyati Chekurova (δd² = 13.95), Zhemchuzhina Povolzh’ya (δd² = 10.33), Volzhskaya 22 (δd² = 22.70). Genotypes combining high rates of plasticity and stability Lutescens 261-3 (bi=1.26; δd²= 16.86) and Volzhskaya 22 (bi=1.97; δd² = 22.70). Samples of Pamyati Chekurova, Scepter, Omskaya 6 and Chekh 16 stood out for a number of indicators: in terms of stress resistance Уmin - Уmax = -51.9 ÷ -282.5; in terms of genetic flexibility (Уmax+Уmin)/2 = 568.8÷651.8; by yield variability V = 4.6÷26.4%; according to homeostasis Hom = 8.13÷94.88; by breeding value Sc = 391.3÷521.5. These samples are of interest in the selection of winter soft wheat to improve adaptability
