Peripheral Retinal Vascular Patterns in Patients with Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment in Taiwan

“…Surprisingly, avascularity of the far peripheral retina was observed in all eyes in this group; the explanation for which being that the detached retina makes peripheral retina more easily seen, even without ultra-widefield fundus camera. However, the peripheral retinal avascularity seems to be within the normal range of retinal non-perfusion described by Asdouriana and Goldberg [ 15 – 16 ], which is different to the findings of non-perfused peripheral retina in FA, which was wider in the other groups.…”
