In this paper, we consider to analyzed the mathematical reasoning ability of students in solving mathematics problem based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. This research consisted of 12 subject. Based on the analysis that mathematic reasoning ability of students can be grouping into 3 categories, that are low, moderate and high groups. The results showed that 16.7% of students were categorized as having low reasoning, that is presenting a mathematical statement in writing, 16.7% of students were categorized as having moderate reasoning, that is able to make a conjecture and perform mathematical manipulation, and 66.7% of students were categorized as having high reasoning, which is able to make a conjecture, to perform a mathematical manipulation, to provide the reasons or evidence for the solution and drawing a conclusion.

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in mathematical reasoning ability (KPM) based on gender variation (VG) and mathematical self-efficacy (SEM). Quantitative research was chosen to answer the research question. The research design used comparative causality on 75 students at a State University in Mataram City. Data collection was based on gender variance in the selected sample (51 women and 24 men, KPM test scores consisting of 5 items, and a 20-point SEM questionnaire, which were further categorized into 3 levels (low, medium and high). Analysis The data used two-way ANOVA with a 3 x 2 factorial design. The post-anava follow-up test used the turkey test. The results showed that male KPM was better than female KPM. Based on SEM category, student KPM at high SEM was better than student KPM at low SEM This finding emphasizes the importance of instructors being able to observe the characteristics of self-efficacy and gender variations that have an impact on the mathematics learning process.

Objective: To get around students' reluctance, learning media is needed; one of them is the development of mathematics teaching materials. The development of teaching materials is needed to actualize subjects, especially mathematics, as a contextual subject. This goal is to improve students' reasoning abilities in understanding and solving the problems in daily life. The function of the model is as an intermediary between students' mathematical reasoning abilities and the questions presented in the development of teaching materials. More mathematical reasoning abilities are found in trigonometry material. Trigonometry is the science of measuring the angles and boundaries of triangles (used in astronomy and so on) in which there are solutions for other problems, such as measuring the height of mountains, buildings, towers, etc. Method: This research uses a qualitative method. Results: The teaching material Trigonometry research is valid for module material validation, graphics or media validation, and obtained from audience validation results. The three percentages are at a very valid validation level and can be used in schools. Novelty: After the application of this teaching material, the result was that students' mathematical reasoning abilities became better.
