“…Since November 2015, direct-acting antiviral (DAA) based regimens have been used in Romania for treating patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The patients with liver cirrhosis were treated during the first year that the protocol was being implemented in Romania (1,2) and in the following years non-cirrhotic patients were also included. The percentage of sustained virologic response (SVR) in patients with HCV genotype 1 (found in 99% of the HCV infected patients in Romania) is known to be over 95% (3).…”
