Teoria crítica da tecnologia e cidadania tecnocientífica: resistência, “insistência” e hacking

Abstract

Nos últimos anos, a noção de cidadania e suas novas formas e práticas foram criticadas, discutidas e reconceitualizadas por diversos autores. O trabalho de Andrew Feenberg é de grande valor no sentido de aplicar e fomentar tais discussões no campo dos Estudos Sociais da Ciência e da Tecnologia, bem como no da investigação de potencialidades e práticas da cidadania tecnocientífica. Neste trabalho, a partir de estudos de caso e conceitos advindos da área interdisciplinar das Science and Technology Studies e da Teoria Crítica da Tecnologia, investigaremos a possibilidade de uma “Prática Crítica da Tecnologia”, examinando as mudanças de sistemas sociais e de códigos técnicos em uma perspectiva fundamentada não numa visão essencialista da técnica, nem mesmo numa noção normativa de natureza humana, mas numa abordagem dinâmica, dialética, da condição humana e de seu devir no meio técnico. Mostraremos como o que chamamos de hacking político e epistemológico podem contribuir tanto para redefinir a noção de cidadania quanto para apontar possíveis caminhos para uma ética experimental e uma política “de baixo para cima”.
