“…Previously, almost all corporations considered ecological issues as a threat, thus introducing only the initiatives required by environmental regulations (Azzone et al, forthcoming;Hoffman and Kellog, 1996;Smart, 1992). In this respect, a recent survey in 85 US companies showed that 50 per cent of the interviewed firms were focusing narrowly on compliance (Azzone and Noci, 1996).…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…In this respect, studies explore how operations, marketing, inbound and outbound logistics should change according to an eco-efficient perspective (Quakernaat and Weenk, 1993;Gupta, 1995;Steger, 1996). In particular, a number of studies discuss the role of environmental regulation in fostering`green' technological innovations, such as the development and the adoption of`cleaner' equipment to reduce a company's environmental impact and resource consumption (Maltby, 1995;Porter and van der Linde, 1995;Hoffman and Kellogg, 1996). However, it must be noted that most authors focus on primary activities, whilst supporting activities, such as human resource management, procurement, and research and development processes, are rather neglected.…”

“…Such as Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans has attracted public attention. Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans can produce S-oxidase and sulfite oxidase, which can oxidize educed sulfide and sulfur to sulphuric acid and then release H + , making the environment acid and minerals dissolved until overflow [1,2].The results of the research carried out by Dachaba showed us that metal removal efficiencies was more than 50% for Cr 3+ form the waste concrete. Sreekrishan proved that using Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans was cheaper than any other methods to leach Cd, Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr and Ni from the wastewater.…”
