Abstract: The perception that special spaces are required is a significant barrier to adopting team-based learning (TBL). Faculty using TBL were polled about their experiences to clarify the importance of the teaching space. The data show that TBL is successful in a wide variety of classroom spaces, mitigating this obstacle to TBL implementation.
