Systemic chemotherapeutic treatment of patients with breast cancer brain metastases

Abstract: Summary. Brain metastases of solid tumors are the most common intracranial neoplasms in adults. We provide a short overview of the role of the blood-brain barrier ​​in the pathogenesis of breast cancer brain metastases, and the effectiveness of systemic anticancer therapy in the treatment of such patients.
