Synthesis of Ordered Lamellar Nanostructured Zirconia via SDS Template

Abstract: The ordered lamellar nanostructured zirconias were prepared via atmospheric reflux and hydrothermal hybrid method in ethanol-water system by using zirconium oxychloride as zirconium source and sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS) as template agent, which were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that the ordered lamellar nanostructured zirconias were composed of tetragonal phase for 110 and 125°C and tetragonal/monoclinic phase for 140 and 155°C. As the hydrothermal temperature raised, the mo… Show more

“…Recently, we have used anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphonate (SDS, C 12 H 25 SO 3 Na) as the supermolecular template to synthesize ordered nanostructured functional materials in alcoholwater system via a facile reflux route, for example SiO 2 , Ca 10 (PO 4 ) 6 (OH) 2 , LiFePO 4 , Cu 2 O, ZrO 2 and CaCO 3 [2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. Results show alcohol-water system does important role on SDS templating synthesis of ordered nanostructured materials.…”
