Synthesis of Oligomeric Axially Bridged Ruthenium Phthalocyanines and 2,3-Naphthalocyanines

Abstract: Bridged 2,3‐naphthalocyaninatoruthenium oligomers {[MacRu(L)]n} were synthesized and characterized using solid‐state methods. For comparison, soluble t‐butyl substituted phthalocyaninatoruthenium oligomers were prepared and their chain length examined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The powder conductivities of all bridged compounds ([MacRu(L)]n) were measured and the dependence of the conductivities on the bridging ligands is discussed.

“…Previously, the CO axial ligand was also found in ruthenium phthalocyanine complexes. 29,45,[48][49][50] Although a range of ruthenium naphthalocyanines have been prepared, [41][42][43][44][51][52][53] complexes containing a coordinated CO ligand have not yet been published.…”
